What about you NagiosQL, did you (Rouven?) already have contact with these developpers?
Could be a serious option to change to ICINGA as soon as a stable version exists (28th October 2009). A first release will be published in 2 weeks...

I was very astonished about the publication by the ICINGA team at the mailinglist. I am not sure in which direction this is all going. PNP4Nagios and NagVis are important Nagios Plugins and if those developer starting a Nagios fork this might cause real trouble in the community.

I will contact some team members I know about the scope. I don't think that we will drop Nagios Support, it might be a feature request to support ICINGA in next releases, but this has to be discussed internally.
