Re:Services Missing From Dependencies/Escalations 1 Year, 2 Months ago Karma: 0
Hi,

I tested this issue with NagiosQL 3.0.3 this morning and I am still not able to apply the escalation to services. When I select 5 or 6 hosts, it gives me the opportunity to use the * (all services). When I select 60 hosts, the * is no more present.

Even if I select host groups, the * is not there either.

Greetings,

From previous posts it sounded like this problem was resolved with 3.0.3, however, I am running 3.0.3 and the problem still exists. There are no Services or Dependent Services to choose from on the service dependecies config page. Thanks again for your work on this project, it's looking really good.

- Make a dump of your database.
- Remove nagiosQL
- Reinstall nagiosQL 3.0.3
- Change the file nag_class.php with that one from this forum
- Restore the database from your dump.

This will help in certain cases.

The * is only visible if there is at least one common service defined on all selected hosts.

Another issue with * is actually in progress.

Hi,

how about escalations for service groups?
I can create a service group, but i dont seem to be able to create a escalation for it - am i missing something or is it just not (yet) supported?

Thanks,
Moritz

I do not find anything about that inside the official nagios documentation:

nagios.sourceforge.net/docs/3_0/objectdefinitions.html

Is this supported by nagios itselves?

yep looks like it:

nagios.sourceforge.net/docs/3_0/objecttr...ml#serviceescalation

define serviceescalation{
servicegroup_name SERVICEGROUP1,SERVICEGROUP2,...,SERVICEGROUPN

other escalation directives ...

}

would be nice to have that feature in nagiosql too!

Thanks,
Moritz
