Include a service from one host in another host. 5 Months, 1 Week ago Karma: 0
Hi all,
I have version 3.03 on nagios 3.2.0. I have a host that is part of the real host server, ie I have define a host for ILO for HP, and I have defined a seperate host for the server because there are two ip's. My question: is there any way to define the ILO service check inside the real host definition. Thanks in advance for any help, I think that I have looked ath this problem from all sides.

This is a nagios related question.

We do not support Nagios itselves or there plugins, but I think you could write a plugin for your host's services which do that test (like a ping ore somethin else).

Hi Martin,
Thanks for your rapid reply. But I beg to differ on your response. But I will look deeper into the issue. I do not want to have to create a service for each real host. Can you answer me this, how do use "onDemand" macros with in NagiosQL? Thanks for your help.
