[solved] Entry cannot be activated 2 Years, 2 Months ago Karma: 0
What is the meaning of the message, "Entry cannot be activated because it is used by another configuration"? I don't have multiple configurations defined, so far as I know, and have no idea how to remedy the apparent issue here.

Hi,
this is a very old bug. Please update to the latest version. The message had an important typo: activated should be deactivated

Maybe this is an old bug but it must have been fixed fairly recently. I'm using 2.00-P00 originally obtained just about two months ago. I also searched this site and did not find any reference to the message, either as a bug report or as a correction.

I'll proceed with the update. But I'm still curious about the meaning of "another configuration". What does that phrase reference?

You cannot delete a service or host that still have dependencies. It is currently in discussion to have that sort of feature in the upcoming 3.0 release, but not for 2.x.
